Blancpain — is one of the oldest manufactory in Switzerland tracing its history back to 1735. This family company was established by Jehan-Jacques Blancpain, the lucky descendants of who succeeded in turning the family business into one of the most respectable and innovative companies in the world. Its many technical achievements, by way of example, first mechanical wristwatches geared with a movement of one’s hand are still an object of admiration among connoisseurs.

Blancpain produces only mechanical watches with a round body, of the same shape and white dial plates. Each mechanism is manually assembled by the one and same person. Year after year Blancpain goes the way of making the watch mechanism more intricate and refined. «The Chronometer», «Tourbillon», «Ultra-Plat», or «Perpetual, Repetition Minutes» watches are the results of these technical achievements. «Fifty Fathoms» watch capable of withstanding the pressure at the depth of 1122 meters entered the world of cinema in 1953 with the reward received by Jacques-Yves Cousteau for «The World of Silence» movie in 1956. In the period between 1984 and 1992 the company improved many of its first achievements in watch making. The legendary reputation of Blancpain rests on the multitude of its original inventions which grew to classics.

The interior of the Moscow salon recreates the atmosphere of the first Blancpain watch shop opened in Geneva in the late 18th century, both the spirit and tradition of the legendary Le Brassus manufactory.

The walls are trimmed up with manually crafted panels made of sandal and American beech. The pattern of the mosaic parquet coincides with the pattern of the halls of the Federal Palace in Bern. The cash register is situated on a counter trimmed up with steel and silver and repeats the design of a camp washbasin which was exchanged into one of the first models of Blancpain by the Dutch Crone Prince.
